Welcome to Zerone! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services, including the collection, recycling, and resale of used hard drives from film production companies. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. General Terms
1.1. By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1.2. Zerone reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
2. Collection and Data Handling Services
2.1. Zerone provides the collection of used hard drives and other computer storage devices from media production and post-production companies for the purposes of secure data sanitisation, physical destruction where appropriate, and environmentally responsible recycling.
2.2. Upon collection, Zerone assumes responsibility for determining and applying an appropriate data handling outcome for each device. This determination is made based on factors including, but not limited to, device type, condition, and suitability for reuse or destruction.
2.3. Data sanitisation methods are selected at Zerone’s discretion using recognised professional techniques appropriate to the media industry. These methods may include overwrite-based erasure or physical destruction where erasure is not appropriate.
2.4. Where a client explicitly requires a specific sanitisation standard, this must be agreed in writing prior to collection. In the absence of such agreement, Zerone will apply a sanitisation or destruction approach it deems appropriate and reasonable.
2.5. Once a device has been collected and processed, the original owner relinquishes all rights and claims to the device and any data previously stored on it.
2.6. Zerone may repurpose or recycle processed materials at its discretion, in compliance with applicable data protection, environmental, and waste management regulations.
3. Limitation of Liability
3.1. Zerone shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from the collection, transport, assessment, sanitisation, or destruction of devices.
3.2. Zerone does not guarantee the recovery, retrieval, or preservation of data and accepts no liability for data loss. Verification of data erasure or destruction is provided only where explicitly agreed in writing.
3.3. Zerone takes reasonable measures to handle and process devices securely but makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding suitability for any specific regulatory or contractual obligation unless expressly agreed in writing.
3.4. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zerone disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
4. Governing Law
4.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
4.2. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
4.3. These Terms and Conditions are intended to comply with applicable UK data protection and consumer protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, where applicable.
